The Hose Pipe

It was a bright, sunny day
when I saw it
I only got a glimpse of it

The green, slimy body
The beady eyes staring with horror at me
Life was over, and death began
I screamed when I saw the poison flaying to me

And I came to my senses
It was just an open hose pipe
with water spraying all over me

  1. I thought this was a great poem. I think if you had called it something else, the surprise at the end would have been even greater. Very clever.

  2. This is a wonderful poem, Elethu! Very descriptive, and I love your imaginative writing style. You set up scenes very well in your writing. Keep it going!
