The poverty and weakness in people -

The abuse of women, children,
and the environment -

The struggles of people
are more, not less,
Big, not small,
Loud, not soft.

Because Africa,

ReplyDeleteWhat a magnificent vision you have for Africa, a continent that I find mystical in its complexity: On one hand, the culture is communal and kind, and spiritual wealth abounds. On the other, there is disparity among Africans as to material abundance and lack - and, yes, violence against both people and the environment exists.
I, too, believe that Africa will overcome many of its ailments, and I celebrate your leadership and creativity in commanding the universe that it be so.
